Has anyone downloaded Yahoo Widgets? What is it?

I see that you can get widgets, but have no clue what its for. I was going to check it out but dont know if it will take up alot of my memory. Anyone try it yet, and if so whats your opinion. Thanks.

Yes and I didn't like it. Had a hard time getting it off my computer. I had a clock an weather on here. and a few other things it offered.
Reply:Widgets are small programs that you can download and run in the background of your computer. They may be programs such as webcam links, weather information, tv listings, etc, and can be accessed by hitting a hot-key (such as F12). They're cute, but do consume quite a bit of memory which can potentially slow down your system....

Reply:The Yahoo! Widget Engine allows you to place Widgets on your desktop. "Widgets" are little applets that float on your desktop, bringing you information like weather forecasts, news headlines, and even live webcam data. Others allow you to remotely control an instance of iTunes, or even tell you what time it is.

I have used it for over a year (when it used to be Konfabulator) and it's great!
