Widgets are tator-tots?

What are they?

They sound like they are tator-tots...seriously..

Widgets are tator-tots?
No, Widgets are not tater tots. Maybe you are thinking about wedges (potato wedges),

Yahoo! Widgets is a free JavaScript runtime engine for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows, previously called Konfabulator, but subsequently bought by Yahoo!. The runtime engine runs small applications referred to as Widgets, and hence is part of a class of software applications called widget engines. It combines its JavaScript engine with an XML document structure that can be used to author custom Widgets.

The Yahoo! Widget Engine provides a default set of widgets that perform a variety of functions. Yahoo! Widgets help you save time and stay current by bringing an always-updated, at-a-glance view of your favorite Internet services right to your desktop.

The Yahoo! Widget Gallery offers over 4,000 desktop Widgets - the most available anywhere online. Yahoo! Widgets is the only major desktop Widgets platform that works on both Windows and Mac OSes.
